In God We Trust,
Or Do We?
Pastor Kevin Lewis
Outline for Study from the message, "In God We Trust, Or Do We?"
Read Proverbs 3:5-6
I. Put Your Trust in God
When things happen that you just don't understand...
a. Gen. 12:1-5
b. Gen. 15:1-7
c. Gen. 16:1-16
d. Gen. 21:1-17
II. Put Your Trust in God
When you are faced with a decision
III. Put Your Trust in God
When the future seems uncertain
IV. What Does it Mean to Trust God?
Definition of Trust - to have a firm belief in the honesty, truthfulness and power of a person.
V. In God We Trust or Do We?
When it comes to living life, a wise man will follow the directions God has given.
In some form - All of us have been evolutionized.
But many have wrong idea about evolution:
and believe that evolution is that in which over millions of years chemicals formed into some sort of living system through an upward progression into apelike creatures - eventually evolving into people until here we. That's not evolution. This is a mechanism that Darwin popularized to try to defend the idea that life arose without God. This is taught as fact through the public education system, isn't it? And in the media - saying that Life arose without God by chance random processes –just a mechanism. Evolution is more than a mechanism. It's a philosophy, a way of thinking-that teaches that man by himself determines truth. It began in the Garden of Eden when Adam rebelled against God. What Adam (man) was really saying is that he wanted to decide truth for myself. No one was going to tell him what to do or when to do it.
Check out Romans 5 – we sin like Adam.
We want to think independent of God, our sin nature.
We've all been evolutionized is that we all want to think independent of God's Word. And somehow take our thinking to the Bible instead of understanding that if the Bible is what it claims to be, the revealed Word of God who knows everything there is to know about everything, then all of our thinking in every area should start from the Bible.
The Bible should be to us a pair of glasses, which we have on 24 hours a day. . If we look through Biblical glasses, we would say there's a history that's gone before us that the Bible reveals to us.
We're learning to put on the Bible as a set of glasses.
More to come....

Easter Message - 2012

Pastors Kevin and Cindy Lewis joined Micaiah Ministries this September for the Leadership Conference in St. Petersburg. We were thrilled to be a part of this ministry and felt such a privilege to participate in the Leadership Conference, visit the boys home, Restoration House and celebrate the 30th year of Micaiah Ministries. Thank you for your prayers and for sending us to Russia.
Who can put a price on a life? The ministers working with Restoration House sacrifice so much and see such a great reward in the changed lives of the young people who are living there. We lived with them for a week, working, cooking, eating, talking (with interpreters), painting fingernails (girls only) and plain living day to day. Pastor Kevin dug potatoes. Ms. Cindy cooked and make "iced" tea! We visited the drug rehabs, churches, parades, celebrations and so much more. What a privilege to be a part of this work!

Mexico Missions Christmas Outreach 2011
December 15 - 20, 2011
Again this year Midwest organized a team to work with Rancho Dos Countries to bring Christmas to the colonies surrounding Zaragoza, Mexico. We were able to go and bless many colonies with toys, rice, beans, personal toiletry items, diapers, etc.
On January 8, we will be sharing about our trip. Join us at 10:00 a.m. to hear testimonies from the trip.
Last year's trip --
December 16-22, 2010
Midwest Ministries had the privilege to send a 15-member team to Mexico for missions Christmas outreach with Rancho Dos Countries. A week is set aside the time during a week before Christmas to give presents to little girls and boys (and moms and dads). They also provide food along with the traditional fruit and nuts. Groups from various ministries converge on the Mexican ranch to prepare the gifts and package the food for delivery. Then they drive out to the “colonies” surrounding Zaragoza to distribute Christmas to those who may not otherwise have any celebration. This year we are happy to report this the following:
GIVEN OUT DURING THE CHRISTMAS OUTREACH:
Over 10,000 toys
Over 400 soccer balls
Over 400 baggies of makeup
2,000 lbs of candy
2,000 sacks of fruits and nuts
1,000 lbs of Rice
1,000 lbs of Beans
The team traveled approximately 120 miles in Mexico during the 5-day mission trip.
Thank you!
